My Story...
People often ask why I chose the name Atma Soul Guru.
The answer lies at the heart of my life’s work.
The word Atma originates from Sanskrit and refers to the essence of who we are—our authentic self beyond the identities we inherit, the roles we perform, and the expectations we carry. Guru means teacher or guide; not someone who possesses all the answers, but one who illuminates the path back to inner wisdom.
For me, Atma Soul Guru is more than a name. It is a philosophy.
I often say that I am indebted to my soul. Long before I understood my purpose intellectually, something within me continued to guide me through adversity, challenge, and profound personal transformation. Looking back, I recognize that it was my soul—not external success or external validation—that led me to this pivotal moment: the privilege of helping others rediscover themselves.
Much of our lives are spent becoming who the world expects us to be. Family systems, culture, education, workplaces, and life experiences shape beliefs about who we should become. While these influences can provide direction, they can also distance us from our authentic selves.
My work is centred on the courageous process of unbecoming—releasing inherited narratives, limiting beliefs, and identities that no longer reflect who we truly are. It is through this process that clarity emerges, purpose deepens, and authentic wellbeing becomes possible.
For more than 25 years in education, I have worked alongside children, families, educators, and leaders, witnessing firsthand the profound impact that identity, belonging, mindset, and emotional wellbeing have on human potential. My experience as an educator and school leader has shown me that lasting transformation doesn’t begin with performance—it begins with understanding ourselves.
To deepen this work, I became a Certified Life Coach through the Centre of Applied Neuroscience, earned certification in Positive Psychology, and completed Cognitive Fitness training through Harvard Health Online. These disciplines have strengthened my understanding of the relationship between the brain, behaviour, resilience, wellbeing, and purposeful living.
Today, I bring together the science of human development with timeless wisdom about the soul. My work integrates leadership, coaching, neuroscience-informed practices, positive psychology, reflective inquiry, and creative expression to help individuals, teams, and organizations reconnect with what matters most.
Whether I am delivering a keynote, facilitating leadership development, coaching individuals, supporting educators, empowering girls, or leading wellness experiences, my purpose remains the same:
To help people reconnect with themselves, align with their deepest values and purpose, and thrive with greater courage, authenticity, and intention.
This is the heart of Atma Soul Guru.
Reconnect. Align. Thrive.
Not by becoming someone new, but by remembering who you have always been.
